Helsingør signs contract with youth talent Malek Kharaibi

15-year-old Malek originally comes from Frederikssund, but received his football education at KBK in Hillerød. He later moved to FC Helsingør's talent academy, where he has developed a great deal, and that now means that he is already a first-year player on the U17 team.

On a daily basis, Malek attends the sports line at Skolen ved Rønnebær Allé, where he is about to finish primary school.

Malek is a strong, ball-playing winger with both feet well set, although he prefers to be able to dribble infield from the left wing with his preferred right foot. When asked about his own qualities, it is not only his football skills that are mentioned. Off the pitch, Malek is someone who takes the lead and shows himself to be reliable and responsible.

Being awarded a contract at such a young age carries responsibility, and Malek and those close to him are very aware of that too.

“I am proud of my efforts so far, especially the last year I have fought very hard to get here. But I also know that this is only the beginning. I need to keep going and prove that I have the level on the pitch to go even further. It would be a dream to make it to the first team, and I will fight to get there.”

Malek will continue as he does now on the academy's U17 team, and we look forward to following his development over the next few years.
