Erik Andersson joins FC Helsingør
The 26-year-old Swede comes to Helsingør from GIF Sundsvall, where he has been instrumental in the team’s fine performances over the past three years. Time in Sundsvall included a promotion to the country’s top division, before the team unfortunately had to go back to SuperEttan in 2023.
The midfield general was involved in 15 of the club’s 37 goals last season, of which he himself had the final touch on four occasions.
Head coach Àlvaro Santos also looks positively on the arrival of Andersson and expects that he can strengthen the squad immediately –
“We need competition for places, and Erik will definitely help us improve the team here. He is good at set pieces, skilled on the ball, and he has the overview to make his teammates better. In addition, he has been playing at a high level in Sweden for a long time, so he will strengthen the squad from day one.”
Erik Andersson has signed a contract that runs until the 30/6-2026.
Andersson has so far spent his entire career in Sweden, so the move to Helsingør will therefore be his first spell abroad.
