The 20-year-old Swedish striker Teddy Bergqvist has trained with FC Helsingør's first team for a little over a week, and played in the training matches against Höganäs and Næstved, where he scored three goals. Teddy's efforts and good performances have now been exchanged for a contract between the transfer-free striker and FCH. Teddy joins Helsingør immediately, and is in the squad going on training camp today Friday.

Sporting director Brian Gellert puts a few words on the Swedish attacking player:
Teddy is a player we have had "on the radar" for quite some time. He is young, fast and a really good finisher. Now he was out of contract, and had the opportunity to come and train with us, so we could assess him. He has impressed the sporting management and now that the opportunity was there, we acted. We are entering a spring season with a lot of matches in a short time, so we thought it was timely to bring Teddy into the squad now.

Teddy Bergqvist himself has got a positive impression of the club during his trial training:
FCH is a really good team, basically too good for the division they are in. They play offensive, entertaining football, and the squad seems like a group of really good guys. They have certainly welcomed me really well and made me feel welcome from day one. I am attracted by the fact that it is a club with a good setup and ambitions for more.

If I should put some words on myself, I am a striker with good game intelligence, who loves offensive combination play, and above all to score goals. Now we are going on training camp for a week, where I can get integrated with the squad and get to know the guys better. I am very much looking forward to getting started.

Teddy Bergqvist has a background in Malmö FF's youth department. He made two appearances for MFF's first team. In addition, he most recently played for a year in Swedish Kristianstad, where he managed to score 11 goals in 29 matches.
