It is with pride in our voices that we can now announce that youth talent Robert Marcus has today signed his first professional contract.
FC Helsingør and Robert Marcus have agreed on a contract that runs until 30 June. 2024,
On the signing of the contract, CEO Janus Kyhl says:
“This contract makes me very happy. We see Robert as a man of the future at FC Helsingør, and he has impressed our coaching staff with his great determination and training enthusiasm and, not least, his fine qualities. It is always pleasing when we can sign an academy player, and in Robert’s case he gets a contract that extends into his senior years. We have a fantastic academy at FC Helsingør, and we now see the result of the hard work that is being done.”
18-year-old Robert Marcus has long been a key figure on FC Helsingør’s U19 team and has also been part of the first-team squad several times this season – where it has also resulted in three fine appearances in the NordicBet Liga.
On Robert Marcus, academy director Kenneth Rasmussen says:
“We are super happy and proud to send a player and young man on his way. Robert can be seen as a textbook example of a footballer with great potential, who through dedication and hard work has brought himself forward. Robert has great self-discipline. He is always prepared, so he can always give his maximum, and he is incredibly willing to learn. He is a player we expect a lot from in the future around our first team. It is also an incredibly important signal to send to everyone in and around the FCH talent academy: if you are good enough and work hard enough, there is also a place.”
This effort, along with the good performances, is now rewarded with a professional contract. Which will hopefully mean that we will see even more of the midfield talent in the future.
Robert Marcus himself has the final words on the signing of the contract:
“I’m mega happy, and it’s really great that the hard work has paid off. I’m generally just super satisfied and proud – and of course excited about what the future brings.”
