Akharraz was therefore free to sign with FC Helsingør, and after a successful medical examination the contract became a reality today, Friday.

– It was a priority for me to come back to Copenhagen, where my wife lives. I am grateful that Viborg made it possible for me, and now I am looking forward to playing for Helsingør. They surprised us (in Viborg, ed.) in the playoff matches with how good they were on the ball, and they play good attacking football, which I think suits me well. I also bring some experience, as I have gradually tried a bit of everything, and I am still hungry to show what I can do. I am looking forward to meeting the guys, and to working with the coaches up here.

Director Janus Kyhl is pleased that the dangerous winger has joined Helsingør
– Osama is an incredibly talented player who fits really well into the way we want to play football. He has been challenged by injuries over the last few years, but we have had him through a thorough medical examination, and he is in sharp shape and ready to compete for a place in the starting-11 lineup.
He was a player our coaching staff very much wanted to work with, and after holding meetings with Osama and his representatives, we have been confirmed in the good feeling we had about him. I have no doubt that Osama and FC Helsingør will be a really good match.
When Osama hits his top level, he is one of the best players in the league, and we expect a lot from him.
