FC Helsingør has signed a contract with former Roskilde FC, Lyngby BK and FC Nordsjælland full-back Nicklas Mouritsen, who has been training with the team for the past week, and has been involved in the last couple of training matches.
Sports Director Brian Gellert says that Mouritsen has impressed during his trial training:
Nicklas has worked extremely hard and made a really good impression on us, especially in the matches against FC København and Lyngby. He is a player we are really pleased to be able to bring in at a time when we have long-term injuries to both Frederik Bay and Dalton Wilkins, and who can give us a few more strings to play on both offensively and defensively. He is a high-running and attacking modern full-back who, despite being only 25 years old, has a lot of experience from both the Superliga and 1 Division.
Mouritsen himself is happy to present himself in the light blue and white shirt:
I think I will fit in well up here. FCH has a really good playing style and a great setup. I like that the coaching staff sets high standards for us, and I think the training is of a high level. The squad also seems really harmonious, and the guys have welcomed me well.
If I should describe myself as a player, I am a high-running and technically good full-back with a good left foot who likes to get forward. I like to get into both crosses and finishes and take part in the build-up play. We have initially signed a contract until the summer, and then it is up to me to prove in training and in matches that I deserve a longer contract. I am absolutely convinced that I can do that as well.
Nicklas Mouritsen has initially been given a contract until the summer, and will wear number 2 on his back.
