FC Helsingør signs contract with FC Roskilde profile Valdemar Schousboe
The 25-year-old striker joins FC Helsingør on a two-year contract.
Valdemar Schousboe has over the past two seasons been an important part of FC Roskilde’s squad, where he played a major role in the club’s promotion to the 2. Division with 28 goals.
This season he has continued his good run, with 7 goals and 2 assists in Roskilde’s battle for a place in the playoffs.
He now brings these fine performances with him to Helsingør, where in the coming years he is to make the net ripple for the blue-striped side in the hunt for top-6.
On the signing, sporting director Janus Kyhl says –
“Valdemar is an exciting player who knows where the goal is. He has proven his abilities as a goalscorer in both the 2. Division and the 3. Division, and he was highly instrumental in FC Roskilde’s promotion to the 2. Division in the spring.
Now we are looking forward to seeing him perform at 1. Division level, and the conversations I have had with Valdemar confirm to me that we are getting a player who is both intelligent and ambitious, and who sets high demands on both himself and those around him.
Both our head coach and I are looking forward to seeing him in action Monday morning together with the rest of the team. And then he luckily has a good month to get to know his new teammates and find his feet in the squad.”
Valdemar himself is also ready for the challenge in Helsingør-
“I have got a really good impression of the people around the club and I like the facilities here in Helsingør.
Now I look forward to starting on Monday and meeting my new teammates and the rest of the team at the club. And then I’m just looking forward to showing what I can do on the pitch!”
