At the end of the season, the contracts of three of FCH’s most experienced players expired: Thomas ”TK” Kristensen, Ricki Olsen and Andreas Holm, and all three are leaving FC Helsingør.

Sporting director Brian Gellert says a few words about the farewell to the three players:
-All three have made a tremendous effort in the FCH shirt. Not least Andreas Holm, who has been with us for almost six years, including quite a few as captain. Holm has been a prominent personality for us and has in every way earned his very own chapter in the history of FC Helsingør, so we send him a special thank you.

-But the club has decided that the time is right for renewal in the squad, which is why we unfortunately have to say goodbye to some experienced and highly appreciated players in the squad. But for us there is also an economic aspect at play. When you have a squad with a high average age, it is also more expensive, and that is still something we are forced to pay close attention to, despite promotion. So for ”TK” and Holm we have decided that it makes the most sense with a generational change now, despite their many qualities as footballers.

– As for Ricki, it was his own decision that from now on he will primarily focus on family life and his studies, and he informed us some time ago that an extension would not be relevant.

I would like to thank all three players on behalf of the club for their time at FC Helsingør, not least their contribution to this season’s crucial promotion from 2. Division, and wish them all the best with their future careers.
