Kimbia Bila Shaka!
Translated into Danish, this means “Run without fear”
An amazing project, initiated by Laura Bjørn Dahl, who works daily at the school Creative Education Foundation (CEF Zanzibar)
Kimbia Bila Shaka is an annual run for men, women, boys and, not least, girls in Zanzibar.
The purpose of the race is to break down cultural barriers and build a community where women and girls are equal and no one is excluded from the community. This is a safe space where everyone is allowed to fulfill their full human potential.
Resources in Zanzibar are scarce and we are therefore incredibly proud to be able to help with various necessities whenever we have the opportunity. Several of the students from CEF Zanzibar often take part in a running club, where they train for the big race. Here, our training gear from previous seasons is used extensively, and therefore we would like to share the good story, support the project and maybe even inspire others to do the same.
It makes a huge difference!
It gives a very special feeling to see the clothes from our former and current stars being used to benefit future stars.
FC Helsingør has just put our new sustainable training gear from Craft into use, and now we therefore have another reason to send a batch of clothes to Zanzibar.
