FC Helsingør has added another year and a half to Tonni Adamsen's contract, so it now expires in the summer of 2023.

The technically strong attacking player has impressed in his first half year at the club, and for sporting director Brian Gellert it was obvious to secure a contract extension:
– Tonni has quickly become well integrated with us, and has to an increasing degree shown his skills as the season has progressed. You often see that a new environment can bring people on, and Tonni is a good example of that. He was already a big name in the second division, and he has succeeded in taking the next step and becoming a profile for us in the first division. Tonni has delivered both goals and assists, and has been a decisive factor in many of our matches, and as well as he has settled into the squad, it was obvious to extend with him. We believe Tonni can become even better, and I am sure that he has all the prerequisites to continue his rapid development in the coming seasons.

Tonni Adamsen himself is happy to have his future sorted:
– First and foremost, I am really happy to be here. I enjoy coming to training every day and there are some good people here, both on the team and around it. It is a super exciting team, with a lot of good players, and I think we have a good mix of both experience and talent and I feel that I have been really well received by everyone. I could feel that I just needed to get used to the pace and the new surroundings, but I think I have done that now, so now it is just about building on it. I need to play a lot of matches, score some goals and help the team as best as possible. We take it one step at a time, but of course the clear goal is that we must be involved at the top of the first division.

The 26-year-old striker arrived from BK Frem in the winter, and he has played 12 matches for FC Helsingør in the spring, scoring four goals.
