FC Helsingør and Teddy Bergqvist have agreed to terminate the striker's contract with immediate effect. The contract was originally set to run until New Year's.
Sporting director Brian Gellert says a few words about the farewell:
– Teddy has found it difficult that he has not played as much as he wanted, which we can of course understand. But his colleagues in attack have done really well in the position, and then it has been difficult for him to force his way into the team. After some illness, he has not taken part in training for the past while, and we have talked things over a bit and agreed that it did not make sense for him to be around here for the next month and a half, when he has not really been able to get himself ready for it.
Teddy has performed well during his time here, and is a good footballer, but sometimes a change of scenery is needed to unlock a player. We would like to thank Teddy for his time at the club, and wish him good luck with his future career.
Teddy Bergqvist made 16 appearances for FCH, with 4 goals to his name.
