FC Helsingør played Hvidovre IF this evening at the home ground Helsingør Stadium. FC Helsingør got off to the best start and already after 8 minutes, Tonni Adamsen put us in front when he received the ball on the right side. After a fine directional first touch into the field, he placed a composed inside-foot finish and sent the ball into the far corner.

Shortly afterward, Schoop unfortunately had to come off with a head injury after an elbow to the head from a Hvidovre player. Oliver Kjærgaard was brought on in his place. After the 1-0 goal, Hvidovre took over the game, but did not really threaten until the 28th minute, when a passive FC Helsingør defense saw Christoffer Boateng send the ball into the net with a fine long-range effort from outside the box. We went into the break with the score 1-1.

The 2th half started cautiously from both sides. After a little more than an hour of play, Hvidovre won a free kick just outside the box. Christoffer Boateng took the free kick, which went directly into the goal via the crossbar, with no chance for Sebastian Mielitz in the FC Helsingør goal. 1-2 to Hvidovre IF.

Hvidovre's lead goal made FC Helsingør wake up a bit and they took control of the match and had a lot of possession. After 68 minutes of play, Eli Just tried his luck with a long-range shot, which the goalkeeper half-saved. Kristoffer Munksgaard got to the rebound first, but the attempt hit the post and went out for a goal kick. In the final 20 minutes of the match, FC Helsingør tried to keep possession, but did not create any major chances. Therefore, the match ended 1-2, and FC Helsingør suffered another home defeat.

The next match is against Lyngby BK on Saturday, 30 April at 12.45 at Lyngby Stadium.
