FC Helsingør play a friendly against Premier League club Crystal Palace, who visit Helsingør Stadion on Thursday, the 12. July.
Crystal Palace played a fine Premier League season in the past year, with the London club finishing in a very respectable 11th place, under the leadership of Roy Hodgson, whom many people from Zealand will probably remember from the Englishman's successful time as coach of FC Copenhagen.
Crystal Palace's visit to Helsingør is the first part of a tour in Scandinavia, where they also play against Halmstads BK in Sweden. Halmstad was the place where Roy Hodgson started his career as a coach all the way back in the 1970s, and he won two Swedish championships with the Halland club.
The Crystal Palace match against FCH is played at Helsingør Stadion on Thursday, the 12/07 at 18.30 o'clock, and all kiosks and spectator sections will be open on the day. The match is presented with Strand- og Badehotel Marienlyst, which is also responsible for the VIP event for the sponsors on the day.
Tickets for the match go on sale already today, and will cost 100,- per person, regardless of age. Season tickets from the previous season do not grant access to the match.
Before the match against Crystal Palace, FC Helsingør will also play two friendly matches against German Hansa Rostock and Swedish Elsfborg. The match against Elfsborg is played in Helsingør on the 29. June and there will also be open access for spectators to this match. The friendly against Hansa Rostock is played on the 6. July, at Stadion Am Boden in Ribnitz, north of Rostock. In addition, work is underway to arrange one or two more friendly matches before the start of the season.
