This evening, FC Helsingør had HB Køge visiting, who are fighting for a place in the top 6 of the playoff round. FC Helsingør dominated the match and had plenty of chances to take the lead. Liam Jordan had a good shot from outside the box, which the HB Køge goalkeeper saved well. Sebastian Czajkowski also had a couple of fine attempts, which were wasted.
The biggest chance of all, however, is missed by Tonni Adamsen, who, completely free in front of goal, shoots straight at the goalkeeper. We go into halftime with the score 0-0. In the 2 half, the pattern is the same.
FC Helsingør are in control of the match and create one chance after another. Callum McCowatt and Oliver Kjærgaard are brought on after an hour, and the FC Helsingør attack gets fresh blood. After 74 minutes, it is McCowatt himself who is set up on the left side.
A quick move to the byline and a hard low cross ends up at the far post, where Mikkel Knudsen appears and side-foots it in for a fully deserved 1-0 lead for FC Helsingør. Unfortunately, the lead could not be held, and in the 85th minute HB Køge equalized to 1-1 on a counterattack, where a shot from distance was deflected and slipped into the goal.
After that, not much more happened in the match and therefore it ended 1-1, which HB Køge can probably be happiest with.
The next match is away on Friday the 3/12 at 18.30, where FC Helsingør are going to Hobro.
