Saku Ylätupa joins FC Helsingør on loan!
We are pleased to announce that the Finnish attacking midfielder, Saku Ylätupa, is now part of FC Helsingør on loan from Kalmar FF in Allsvenskan.
The loan period has officially begun and runs until 30 June 2024.
Jörgen Petersson – Sports Director at Kalmar FF, says:
“Saku had a challenging 2023 with limited playing time at Kalmar FF. With the loan to FC Helsingør, we see opportunities for him to get playing time in a competitive environment, which we know from experience is developing and good! The goal of the loan is of course to strengthen and prepare Saku for the autumn and at the same time positively impact FC Helsingør during the loan period.”
Saku Ylätupa also expresses enthusiasm for the new challenge himself:
“It feels good with this solution, and I am ready for the challenge ahead. I see it as a good opportunity for me to get playing time at a good team and in a good league. Playing time is incredibly important, and I haven't played much in the most recent season. Therefore, it is important for me to move to an environment with more playing time. Now I feel ready and am prepared to get started. I am also ready for the summer, no matter what happens.”
Bo Bay Hougaard – Director at FC Helsingør, is also looking forward to the collaboration:
”We look forward to the collaboration with Kalmar FF and Saku. Saku has lots of experience from Allsvenskan both from AIK and Sundsvall. Saku was trained at Ajax Amsterdam and has also been around the Finnish national team, so we look forward to him strengthening the squad offensively.”
