FC Helsingør has today signed a contract with the 20-year-old goalkeeper Viktor Anker. Anker comes from Brøndby's youth academy, from where he was loaned out in the autumn to Næstved in 2. division, for whom he made just under 20 first-team appearances.

Director Janus Kyhl has had the young goalkeeper in his sights for a long time:
– Viktor is a player whom we have known about throughout all the years he has played in the youth ranks, and he is a great talent, which we are very happy to have brought to the club. It is our expectation that Viktor, right from the start, will increase the competition for the goalkeeper spot on the first team, and his arrival means that we are now very well equipped in goal for the start of the league. We have Mikkel Bruhn, who has the experience, and two very talented young players in Lukas Jensen and Viktor, and I don't think it is exaggerating to say that we now have one of the strongest goalkeeping trios in the NordicBet Liga.

Viktor Anker himself has felt welcome from day one:
– I have been training with the team for a while, and I have felt tremendously well received by the guys. The atmosphere in the squad is good, and the level has been really high in training. Helsingør, as a relegated team, is one of the big clubs in the First Division, and we are going to compete for promotion. I am really looking forward to being part of that.

When asked what type of goalkeeper he is, Viktor replies:
– I am a goalkeeper who likes to be involved in the play. I try to be a goalkeeper who comes well off his line, who dominates his area, and who is good at the physical aspect of the game.

Viktor Anker has signed a two-year contract, and will play in shirt number 31.
