FC Helsingør starts the transfer season with a contract extension. Left back Frederik Bay has signed a one-year extension of the agreement that was otherwise set to expire in the summer, and he will therefore play in the light blue and white shirt for another year and a half.

Head coach Peter Feher is happy with the extension of the talented fullback:
– Bay brings a lot of energy and good technique, and every now and then he also scores some magnificent goals. He is a player who has chosen to stay and step up during a somewhat difficult period for the club, and who works hard for things. He maintains a high baseline level and is a really good representative of the values we want in FC Helsingør, and he is an important player for us, so it is great that we can extend the partnership for at least another year.

Despite being only 21 years old, the young defender has reached 60 matches for FC Helsingør since he moved from FC Copenhagen in 2017. Director Janus Kyhl sends praise after Frederik Bay:
– It is always great when a player we already saw such great potential in as a very young player realizes his talent. Since coming to Helsingør, Frederik has delivered a dedicated and professional effort, and the number of matches he has played over the last couple of years alone fully shows that he is one of our success stories. Now Frederik has to build on that and show that he is a player who can lead from the front and take the next step in his career. We are very excited that that development will take place within FCH.
