FC Helsingør extends contracts with several players

It has been busy around the negotiation table over the winter break, which has resulted in four contract extensions for players in the current squad.

Jakob Vadstrup

The 20-year-old Jakob Vadstrup was brought to the club a year and a half ago from Fiorentina’s U19 team. After sporadic playing time during his first year, he has recently stood out with fine performances and, together with the rest of the back line, has helped secure the club important points ahead of the winter break. Vadstrup is still young and his potential and work rate leave nothing to be desired. This has now secured him an additional 2,5 years at the club, where he will have the opportunity to develop even further.

The contract runs until 30/6-2026.

Rasmus Dupont

Rasmus Dupont was promoted from FC Helsingør’s U19 team last season and has this season shown his quality as a strong striker who can continue his development at the next level. 11 appearances with three goals testify to the potential possessed by the 19-year-old talent. Therefore, the club has also chosen to offer him a contract extension, so Rasmus is now an FC Helsingør player until 30/6-2026.

Mathias Brems

Mathias Brems is playing his second season at FC Helsingør, and the 21-year-old player from Funen has since his arrival back in July 2022 shown why he is part of the first-team squad in Helsingør. After the club said goodbye to Nicklas Mouritsen in the summer, Mathias has really stepped up and has now firmly established himself as first choice at left-back. Mathias’ contract was due to expire in the summer, but he has now chosen to sign a contract extension that ties him to the club until 30/6-2026.

Alexander Hvid

Alexander Hvid is yet another product of FC Helsingør’s talent academy, and after a brief spell at Brøndby he was brought back last January to be part of the first-team squad in Helsingør, where he even scored his first senior goal in the 4-2 victory over Næstved BK. This season has, however, been a mixed success, as injuries and competition for places have meant fewer minutes for the 19-year-old sprinter. His efforts on the training ground are, however, unmistakable, which also contributes to the fact that he will now at least continue until 30/6-2024.
