Successful networking meeting at FC Helsingør: Focus on ESG and climate responsibility
Wednesday morning, FC Helsingør’s Business Lounge provided the setting for a joint networking meeting that brought together businesspeople, company leaders and networking enthusiasts. The meeting, arranged in collaboration with Global Network and Go Green Denmark’s MorgenBooster, focused on ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) and climate responsibility – a topic that is increasingly occupying companies’ strategic considerations.
Strong professional presentations from Jyske Bank and Carmo A/S
The day’s presentations came from Mikkel Møller from Jyske Bank and Claus Ishøi, CEO of Carmo A/S, who gave participants an exciting insight into how ESG and climate responsibility affect companies at different levels.
Mikkel Møller from Jyske Bank shared the bank’s perspective on ESG and explained how they assess companies’ climate responsibility on a daily basis based on ESG data. He explained how the bank’s focus on sustainability and responsible investments is not only part of its own strategy, but also something that is becoming increasingly important for companies’ borrowing and investment opportunities.
Claus Ishøi from Carmo A/S took participants on the company’s journey toward more climate-responsible production. Carmo, which for more than 60 years has delivered injection-molded plastic components to the medical industry, has worked purposefully to reduce its climate footprint.
Participants therefore gained a unique insight into both the financial and operational aspects of ESG, and the presentations led to exciting questions, discussions, and reflections.
Engaged networking and new connections
After the presentations, the morning continued with networking across industries, where those present had the opportunity to discuss the day’s theme and exchange experiences. The combination of FC Helsingør’s network, Global Network, and participants from Go Green Denmark created a dynamic and inspiring atmosphere with many new connections and perspectives.
The event was also a reminder of how companies – regardless of size and industry – can work purposefully with sustainability and ESG, both for the sake of the environment and as a strategic business advantage.
