FC Helsingør is entering a new chapter with local forces at the helm. After the end of the season 2025/26, Morten Stig Bork Jørgensen has taken up his position as the club’s new director and, together with partnership manager René Dupont, will lead the continued development of FC Helsingør.

The leadership change comes at a time when the club is looking ahead and working purposefully to create a strong foundation for the future - both on the sporting, organizational and commercial fronts.

At the same time, FC Helsingør would like to extend a big thank-you to outgoing director Peter Nielsen, who is stepping down from the role after 10 months at the club.

Peter has made a great effort during an important period for FC Helsingør. We would like to thank him for his commitment and work for the club and wish him all the best going forward.

From announcer to director: Morten Stig Bork Jørgensen takes the helm at FC Helsingør

For Morten Stig Bork Jørgensen, the role of director is the culmination of a many-year journey with the club.

Morten began his time at FC Helsingør as the stadium announcer, but over the years he has taken on more and more tasks and areas of responsibility. Most recently he has been administrative manager, where he worked closely with the previous director, Peter Nielsen, and now he is in charge of the day-to-day operations as the club’s new director. FC Helsingør has been a big part of my life for many years, and I am both proud and humbled by the trust I have been shown. I know the club, the people around it, and the strong community that makes FC Helsingør something special. Now I look forward to helping create positive development and a strong foundation that the club can build on in the years to come, says Morten Stig Bork Jørgensen.

Morten will lead the club in close cooperation with partnership manager René Dupont, and together their focus will be on strengthening relations with the club’s partners, developing the organization, and creating the best possible framework for everyone in and around FC Helsingør.

Although the season 2025/26 did not end with the desired sporting result, the ambitions remain intact.

Work on the coming season has been underway for some time, and the sporting management with sporting director Carlos Martinez and head coach René Skovdahl is working purposefully to assemble a competitive squad for the coming season in 3 Division.

At the same time, the club maintains its focus on talent development and the long-term sporting strategy, which is intended to help ensure sustainable development for FC Helsingør.

The great support from sponsors, partners, volunteers and fans remains a crucial strength for the club.

FC Helsingør is built on strong local forces and a unique community. We must protect and develop that. We look forward to beginning the next chapter together with all those who every day help make the club stronger, says Morten Stig Bork Jørgensen.

With a new management structure, strong local forces and clear ambitions, FC Helsingør now looks ahead to the next chapter in the club’s history.
