FC Helsingør has sold New Zealander Elijah Just to AC Horsens. Eli, as he is known in everyday speech, has been at FC Helsingør for 3 years and joined the club ahead of the 2019-2020 season. Regarding the sale of the winger, director Jim Kirks says:
– Elijah came to Helsingør 3 years ago from an academy in NZ to develop and play at a higher level. Today he is moving on to the top level in Danish football, and we are very happy and proud of his performance. This type of player is an excellent example of what we have done here at FC Helsingør. Young players can come in and get a chance to play and develop. I wish Elijah all the best in the years to come, I know he will do great things.
It is not only FC Helsingør that has benefited from the small, agile technician. New Zealand’s national team has also benefited from his technical ability, and in June New Zealand was only one win away from qualifying for the World Cup in Qatar. Unfortunately, Costa Rica put an end to the New Zealand dreams of participating in the World Cup.
Elijah Just puts the following words on the move to AC Horsens:
– I would like to say thank you to the club for the opportunity I was given. Coming here from New Zealand and to the other side of the globe has been a long journey. Therefore, I would like to express my gratitude for the faith that has been placed in me, and I have had plenty of playing time. It has been 3 fantastic years with both ups and downs, but I have enjoyed every moment. And to our fans I would just like to say that we greatly appreciate your support for the team and the club. I will always be able to look back on my time at FC Helsingør with fond memories.
Elijah Just is moving to AC Horsens from today, and the club wishes Eli all the best in Horsens.
