Daniel Norouzi and FC Helsingør have agreed to extend his current contract by one more year.
FC Helsingør's captain joined the club four years ago after a spell at Næstved BK, and it is with great joy that we can announce that the collaboration will therefore continue next season as well.
Daniel has great importance for the team and is one of the driving forces, not only on the pitch, but especially off it as well. He is incredibly popular and therefore it was not a difficult decision for CEO and acting sporting director Bo Bay Hougaard to offer Daniel another year in the blue-and-white shirt.
"Of course, it is always a good day when you can extend a well-functioning collaboration, and there is no doubt that we have that with Daniel. He is a good guy who always puts others before himself and always gives 100 percent for the team. Therefore there were not many considerations when we wanted to ensure that Daniel is part of the project in Helsingør. Now it's signed and we therefore have the opportunity to enjoy Daniel's personality both on and off the pitch throughout next season."
The 31-year-old captain is also very pleased with the extension himself and looks forward to staying in Helsingør for another year.
"I am happy to continue being part of the family up here in Helsingør. I have a hard time seeing myself anywhere else than here. This was a choice made with the heart, and even though there are many who will perhaps point fingers and wonder, it means nothing. I care incredibly much about all the people in and around the club and I am happy that everything is now in place. I have great support from home and that is super important, so I can focus on being the best version of myself. I have a personal goal of wanting to help and support the young players in the club and be as good a role model as possible, so that is why I am also super happy to be here next season.
