In the late spring of 2020, Craft, in cooperation with August Erhverv & Sport, became the kit sponsor for FC Helsingør. The Swedish clothing brand became the new kit sponsor for 1. senior and all youth teams including the girls' teams. In addition to the match kits, it is also Craft that is on the clothing when all the many talented football players train. All teams played in Craft when the tournament got underway.
We had for a couple of years been very interested in becoming kit sponsor for FCH, so it was great that it became possible, says former FCH first-team player Heine Westbæk. The midfield profile has since become country manager for sales at Craft and you can clearly sense that the club feelings are intact.
FC Helsingør is what we see as Next Generation. A club on the way up. We really want to be involved in Helsingør as kit sponsor, when hard work is being done on the training ground and when we hopefully win a lot of football matches, he continues. The sponsorship agreement initially lasts four years, after which it can be renegotiated. As mentioned, the agreement was entered into in 2020 – make no mistake – before promotion was secured.
FC Helsingør is the flagship when we talk football
In Denmark, FC Helsingør is the club that Craft has a kit agreement with that is highest placed. Boldklubben Frem also plays in the stylish clothing from the Swedish clothing manufacturer, but there we are currently talking only 2 division. Some may have noticed that Craft is also involved in handball, when among others Odense Håndbold plays. That is in the women's league – and it is actually worth noting because Craft's models are not unisex. No, they have a women's and a men's collection. Craft is generally good at sport. You can see the Craft brand in professional cycling, athletics and much more. It is a so-called multi-sports brand. It saw the light of day in 1973 in Swedish Borås, where the company still has its headquarters today.
Custom made – the home shirt is its very own
Another detail about the collaboration is that FCH, together with Craft, has developed a very special home shirt. All FCH teams wear it when they play at home. Custom made means that it is made especially for FCH. The logo is not printed on the shirt. It is part of the fabric and therefore does not come off in washing or through wear. So far, one must say that the shirt is doing well. The first team is feared at home and at all other levels people also know that FCH are hard to face at the new stadium.
August Erhverv & Sport is an important partner
If you step into August Erhverv's beautiful shop premises on Fabriksvej 3, the first thing you see is a mannequin dressed in FCH's home kit and an FCH scarf (see photo). The reason is quite simply that Henrik Høj and August Erhverv & Sport are the link between Craft and FCH. This is where Craft delivers the football kit from one of their European factories, so August Erhverv & Sport can take care of the final part.
We receive the clothing here through the back entrance, where we have our warehouse. Then we arrange printing on the clothing as agreed. That applies to player numbers, sponsor names, etc., before we deliver it to FCH, says sales manager Henrik Høj, August Erhverv & Sport, while we stand and look at the 'printing', numbers for printing, etc.
Henrik Høj also has FCH blood in his veins, you can hear when he speaks. He topped for FCH in the highest youth division, formerly called Ynglinge Mester (now u19), where he was a regular starter.
We have been sponsors of FCH for as long as I can remember, Henrik continues. And August is actually more or less everywhere when we talk FCH. They are even visible at Cementen. (Cementen.dk – FCH Fanzine and FanPodcast)
Well begun…
Craft is now part of FCH. It is a natural part of the clothing for coaches and players. The quality is top notch, the sizes easy to understand. There are other things like that too…
It has been a good start all the way through, says board member Michael Schmidt. We have been very satisfied with delivery times, quality and, in general, the way we cooperate with August Erhverv & Sport and Craft.
