On Friday, FC Helsingør held the first of a total of three courses together with Coerver Coaching. Coerver is one of the world’s leading developers of training methods and training courses for football coaching of children.

The first course was held at Fredensborg B & I, and a full 30 coaches from nine different local clubs had turned up to be inspired by Coerver’s professional approach to children’s coaching in a club setting.

The courses run in three-hour sessions, half of which is practical training on the pitches, together with girls and boys in the relevant age groups.

At the first course on Friday, it was the coaches from Coerver who trained the kids from FC Helsingør, while the local coaches observed and learned, and at the next course at Tikøb IF it will be the coaches’ turn to take on the role of players, while Coerver coaches, so they can experience the training exercises firsthand.

At the final course at Helsingør IF, which is scheduled to be held at the new stadium in the summer, Coerver will assess which of the two training formats from the first courses makes the most sense to finish with, so that the coaches get the best possible benefit.

– We at FCH have chosen to put a lot of effort into children’s football in our municipality and region, says René Lybek Hansen, T+ coach at FCH.

– We want to help inspire and improve the local environments, and therefore we have created an inspiration group on Facebook for the local coaches, and also established a so-called Children’s Group to develop and ensure professional standards, as well as ensure that the inspiration and exercises are distributed locally, so that we can have an even closer collaboration with our partner and feeder clubs.

Furthermore, together with Coerver Coaching, we have now put together these three courses, as well as football camps in the area, where Coerver’s exciting approach to children’s football will be introduced to our local coaches. We are very proud that a total of 30 local coaches have chosen to support this initiative, and we look forward to working together to further develop strong children’s environments in the local clubs.

Coaches from Helsingør IF, Snekkersten IF, Tikøb IF, Nødebo IF, Frem Hellebæk, Fredensborg B & I, Esrum IF, Hornbæk Fodbold, Humlebæk BK and FC Helsingør are taking part, along with boy players from FCH’s Top Center.
