The speedy winger Carl Lange has signed a three-year contract with FC Helsingør, after training with the first-team squad for a couple of weeks. Carl Lange joins on a free transfer from HIK in 2. division, where, despite being only 19 years old, he has played 43 first-team matches and scored 11 goals.
Director Janus Kyhl is pleased with the addition.
– Carl is an incredibly exciting young player who, despite his young age, has already proven himself in impressive fashion for HIK. He is a player whom we are convinced can make a big breakthrough with us once he gets used to the pace in a higher division. He has the speed and the potential to reach the highest level, and we have also signed a three-year contract with him in the expectation that he is a player we can develop into a regular starter.
Carl Lange himself is looking forward to the challenge:
– FC Helsingør is a really good opportunity for me to take a step up, in an environment where I can develop and improve. I have been training up here for a while, and the level is high, and I have got a really good impression of the squad and the coaches, so once I get used to the pace, my expectation is that I will contribute with some speed, as well as some goals and assists. I am very much looking forward to getting started in earnest.
Carl Lange received his football upbringing at HIK, only interrupted by two years in FCK's youth setup as an U14 and U15-player.
