– Leiria is a skilled technician who has been signed to compete for a place in the starting-11lineup. When you bring in a player from the other side of the globe, it is usually with the expectation that he can go straight into the team, but at the same time you have to bear in mind that there is an adjustment period to Danish conditions, including the climate. So we are quietly and steadily preparing Matheus for a starting place, but he is a player we have high expectations for in the somewhat longer term. Although he has now been signed as a direct replacement for Mads Aaquist, Matheus is nevertheless a player we have been keeping an eye on for over a year, so it is great that we have finally been able to reach an agreement.
Matheus Leiria Dos Santos has signed a 3-year contract.
