Brazilian has landed in Helsingør
Brazilian Marcos Kayck Morais de Oliveira has been brought to the club on a deal that initially runs until 30/6-2024. Kayck has been scouted through head coach Alvaro Santos’ connections to his home country. The only 20-year-old winger comes from the club Guarani de Divinópolis, where he played in the second division of the Campeonato Mineiro, which is the second-highest tier in the state of Minas Gerais. He was one of the team’s key players last season, where he scored six goals in ten matches and thus drew attention to himself beyond the country’s borders.
“I have, through my connections to Brazil, become acquainted with Kayck, whom I have spoken well with and seen a lot of video of. He is a young player who can be described as a ‘late bloomer’, so he has plenty of potential to develop. He is very Brazilian, which means that he can move the ball in tight spaces while also having the pace to beat his opponent. In addition, he has proven that he is a skilled finisher.”
Kayck arrived in Denmark yesterday, Tuesday, and passed the medical without any remarks. He is therefore already part of the squad that will fight for points when the NordicBet League starts up again in February.
In addition to the long journey, there is also some culture shock awaiting the young Brazilian, but he himself is optimistic.
“I have been very excited to come to Denmark. The first few days I have spent getting used to all the new things; especially the cold is a big change. I have been well received by the club and my teammates, so everything is good. The goal is of course to learn a lot and develop myself. I am an attacking player who can do things on my own and I would like to put myself in a position where I can score goals and help the team.”
