Àlvaro Santos is the new assistant coach at FC Helsingør
Àlvaro comes from a shared head coach role at Helsingborgs IF, but is now crossing the strait and will, in cooperation with newly appointed John Bredal, assist head coach Daniel Pedersen in the coming season.
Àlvaro has previously been in charge of Helsingborg's youth teams and therefore brings a lot of useful experience in relation to FC Helsingør's strategy of wanting to be a development house for young talents.
FC Helsingør met Helsingborgs IF in a friendly match last season and even then Àlvaro was impressed by the pace and style of play.
“I look very much forward to be meeting all of the players and the rest of the coachingstaff. We played a friendly against FC Helsingør last season and I really liked the way the team played. The style of play is different to Sweden so I’m excited to test my own abilities in a different country.”
“I’m very excited to be joining FC Helsingør. I believe in the ambition of the club and the vision to develop young players and hopefully bring them to the first team. I have a lot of experience from the past 7 years of coaching and now I want to apply that to help the team reach its goals for the coming season”
That means the coaching staff for the coming season is now finally in place.
