Daniel Pedersen hands over the baton to Alvaro Santos, who is the new head coach of FC Helsingør. “It is time for others to bring new energy into the team and hopefully collect a lot of points, I am completely sure that Alvaro and the rest of the team can do that, and I am sure a good period awaits the club and the players – therefore I have chosen to resign from my position at FC Helsingør”, says Daniel Pedersen.
The coaching staff is already fully underway with preparations for Saturday's home match against the league leaders from Fredericia.
Daniel has chosen to step down because he believes that at this point it is best for the team that new forces come in. We respect Daniel's decision and thank him for a tremendous effort during his time at FC Helsingør.
Alvaro Santos has been at FC Helsingør as assistant coach since 1 July this year and therefore already knows the club very well. Alvaro has previously been head coach at Helsingborg IF and before that was in charge of the youth teams at Helsinborg IF. Alvaro is in the process of completing his UEFA Pro license education, which is the highest coaching education achievable. With Alvaro we get an experienced, highly skilled and competent head coach who, in addition, has a lot of experience as a professional football player.
