FC Helsingør lost the away match in Hvidovre 2-1, despite a fine goal from Nicolas Mortensen to 1-1.

It was FC Helsingør that started by putting pressure on the home side. Already after two minutes, it led to the first corner, which Douglas got up well for, but the referee thought he had gone in the back of a defender and blew for a free kick. Good start by FCH.

After six minutes FCH got a free kick on their own half. Holm played a fine diagonal ball out to Matheus on the right side. The Brazilian took a good touch, and sent the ball in with his left foot, where Nicolas Mortensen came highest, but Djukic came down all the way out by the post and saved.

After eight minutes it was Hvidovre's turn to get a chance. A cross was sent into the FCH box, where the ball was cleared away again. Unluckily it hit a Hvidovre player, who could send in yet another cross. In front of goal Niclas Schmidt rose highest and headed the ball unreachably in behind Viktor Anker. Against the run of play and chances, it was Hvidovre who could take the lead.
1-0 Hvidovre

Shortly after the opening goal, Osama Akharraz was lying in the grass and had to be substituted with an injury. He was replaced by Daniel Jørgensen.

Hvidovre took control after the opening goal, and FC Helsingør had to find their feet again. But after just under twenty minutes, Frederik Bay came close. On a quick counterattack, Matheus worked his way up through the middle. He slipped the ball diagonally to an advancing Frederik Bay, who from the left side of the box struck at the ball. His powerful shot hit the crossbar and went out. Centimeters from an equalizer.

Shortly after, Hvidovre were close again. A sharp cross found a Hvidovre player on the edge of the box. The Hvidovre man struck it, and the deflected ball went in, but standing in front was another Hvidovre player in the way of Anker, and the goal was disallowed for offside.

A period followed in which the match swung from side to side. FC Helsingør worked their way to a couple of half chances, the most dangerous being a header for TK, which Djukic had to get down to, but the really clear chances failed to materialize.

But just before half-time FC Helsingør got back to 1-1, after a period in which the play came together better for the visitors. FCH won a corner, which TK delivered. In front of goal Nicolas Mortensen rose at the back post and headed the ball in behind Djukic, who was just unable to get his hands to it. A goal after football's a-b-c.
1-1 FC Helsingør

It was FCH who pressed on up to half-time. Nicolas Mortensen got away down the right side and delivered a good low cross across the box, but unfortunately Douglas had just come a meter too far forward and could not get on the ball. But FC Helsingør could go into the dressing room with a good feeling heading into the second half.

Just over five minutes had been played in the second half when FCH came close for the first time. A bit of uncertainty in the Hvidovre defense led to a poor pass back to goalkeeper Djukic, and Douglas was very close to poking the ball in, but at the last moment a Hvidovre defender got in front of the ball, which was sent over the goal.

A few minutes later Jonas Henriksen delivered a fantastic cross into the box while the Hvidovre defense was out of balance, but in front of goal Nicolas Mortensen could not direct his header the right way, and the ball went straight to Djukic. Big chance for FCH.

The next twenty minutes were marked by many close duels and stoppages in play. Several of the players, both from Hvidovre and Helsingør, were on the grass receiving treatment, and Hvidovre's Alexander Lazarevic had to go off after Daniel Jørgensen was unlucky enough to kick him in the face in a duel. And Fredrik Bay had to be replaced by Ibrahim Samrawi after 71 minutes.

The battle continued between the two teams, and after 77 minutes Hvidovre got a free kick on the right side. It was struck hard and accurately in front, where Nicola jAgger rose between friends and foes and got his head to it. The ball sailed in a soft arc in just under the crossbar, and Hvidovre were in front again.
2-1 Hvidovre

Six minutes later it was very close to Hvidovre extending the lead. Kim Aabech got the ball on the right side, and delivered a millimeter-precise cross to Marcus Mølvadgaard, who chipped cleverly from the edge of the box. However, he did not get quite enough precision in his finish, which sailed past the far post. Quite a big chance for Hvidovre.

In stoppage time FC Helsingør pressed on, and there were close calls on several occasions, but Filip Djukic stood strong, and among other things saved a good shot from Matheus, who finished hard on a rebound. One minute from time Daniel Jørgensen somewhat bizarrely received his second yellow card after banging heads with a Hvidovre player in an aerial duel. It did not amount to more than that, and FC Helsingør had to leave "The Warriors' Arena" with a 2-1 defeat to a Hvidovre side that was sharper on the day.
