After training with the team for a couple of weeks, where he has impressed both in training and in the test matches he has played, FC Helsingør has today signed a contract with the fast winger Adnan Mohammad.
The 21-year-old left winger comes to FC Helsingør from Norwegian Arendal, whom he joined from FC Nordsjælland in March.
After 11 matches in the Superliga for FCN, Adnan Mohammad moved in March this year to the Norwegian club in search of more playing time, and in his just under three months in Norway he managed to play 14 matches for Arendal in the Norwegian 1 division and cup competition.
Head coach Christian Lønstrup is pleased with the addition to his squad:
Adnan is a highly skilled technical player, with huge potential. He has something of the X-factor that the spectators like to see. He needs to get into a bit better shape, and he knows that, but he has still impressed us in the last few weeks (where he has trained with us, ed.). He seems like a boy who has some of the “DNA” we generally look for here, and he has already settled in well with the squad. We are really looking forward to working with him going forward.
Adnan Mohammad himself is happy with the move:
It is the Superliga, and I really like the way they play football at FCH, so that appealed to me very much. The last couple of weeks have gone well, and the guys have welcomed me really well, so it has been easy to settle into the squad.
FC Helsingør's director Janus Kyhl has been pleased with the negotiations with Arendal:
They have been very accommodating, and all parties have been focused on finding the best possible solution, both for us and Adnan, so it was great that we were able to meet halfway, and that we have been able to bring a talent like Adnan to Helsingør.
Adnan Mohammad joins on a three-year contract.
