At halftime in yesterday’s match against Næstved, this year’s girls’ talent at FC Helsingør was awarded. The optician Brilleriet in Espergærde has sponsored Brilleriet’s Talent and Development Award, which is given annually to a girls’ player from FC Helsingør, or one of FC Helsingør’s parent clubs.
This year’s award went to Sofia Hansen from FC Helsingør’s U16 team. Sofia switched to Espergærde IF’s girls’ team four years ago, and has been with them all the way, also when they came under the FC Helsingør name last season.
About Sofia, her coaches say: ”She has continually developed, and has become better and better. She is a rock in defense, who turns up for matches with fire in her eyes, ready to handle the task she has been given. She is training-ready and committed, and is an example of how hard work, diligence and dedication can take you far and make you a regular starter, and a team player others trust.”
Along with the honor came an individual training program at Fodboldinspirator, a pair of RayBan sunglasses, a gift card to Espergærde Centret for 500 kr., and a large bouquet of flowers from Blomsterhjørnet in Espergærde Centret.
Sofia Hansen is part of the U16 girls’ team that meets Brøndby’s counterpart in the cup final on 26.05 at Ballerup Stadion.
Congratulations to Sofia from all of FC Helsingør.
