FC Helsingør have extended the contract with captain Andreas Holm, who has added two years to the contract that otherwise was set to expire this summer.
Andreas Holm is one of the most experienced players in the squad, and has been there all the way from 2 division to the Superliga, since he arrived in 2014. He therefore reached 100 matches for the club in the autumn, where he is now up to 101 matches for the club.
It is with a big smile that Andreas Holm signs the contract:
– I am happy with the club, and happy to be here, and I actually have been since day one. It has been so great to help play the club up through the ranks, and to have had a stake in the upward curve we have had. The club has progressed faster than I ever dreamed of. It has been a big challenge to play in the Superliga and incomparable with anything we have tried before. It is what you dream of and work toward, so it has been fantastic. I have been struggling a bit with an injury late in the autumn, but I am training fully now and am ready for the important matches in the spring. The club still has the potential to develop even more, and I want to be part of that.
For director Janus Kyhl, the extension was an obvious decision:
– It is a completely natural extension that has been in the works for some time. It is also an important extension, and an important signal, since Andreas has been part of the whole journey and means a great deal to the club and to the entire environment up here. He is a very professional player and he fills a lot in the dressing room in a good way, so it was great that we could reach an agreement.
